10 Health Tips To Make The Most of Your 2026

Most people fail their New Year goal because they’re trying to do it the hard way.

Over the years—losing nearly 100 pounds, coaching thousands of check-ins, watching what actually sticks—these are the principles I keep coming back to.

These ten pieces of wisdom will ensure that you’ll beat the odds and transform how you feel this year.

  1. Learning how nutrition works is life-changing. But applying that knowledge is what’s transformative.
  2. Waiting for the perfect time is actually the nail in the coffin that ensures your failure. If you can do it through chaos, you can do it for life. Start now.
  3. Exercise doesn’t have to be in the gym. Find an activity that moves your body and do it often.
  4. Get problem food out of the house. If it can be eaten straight out of the package, and isn’t a fruit or vegetable, don’t buy it.
  5. Eat more earlier. It’ll help you avoid raiding the cupboard at night.
  6. Changes don’t need to be dramatic, but they do need to be different. Just because you can eat your favorite treats doesn’t mean you always should.
  7. Trainers work because they make workouts feel like doctor’s appointments–nonnegotiable. Schedule workouts in your calendar to get a similar effect.
  8. Budgeting your finances helps you manage your money, tracking your eating helps you manage your weight. Awareness creates control.
  9. Fitness can become a part of who you are without being your whole personality.
  10. Today is the easiest this will ever be. Waiting only makes it harder.

You don’t need to check all these boxes. You just need to start doing some of it.
